40 Nannette's English Rose 2010 41 Pinot Noir on the vine

Nannette's English Rose

Nannette’s English Rose is named after and inspired by Richard Balfour-Lynn’s delightful daughter Jessie Nannette.  Nannette also had a hand in the label design.

The wine was first produced from the stunning 2009 harvest using the taille from the Balfour pressings so the familial connection and parentage continue to be reflected in the bottle.  Like the Balfour Brut Rosé, Nannette’s English Rose is a vintage wine and will reflect the harvest and terroir. 2009 was rich and spicy, 2010 will contain a more subtle elegance retaining its distinctive and unique style.

The grapes, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are the same as used in the Balfour Brut Rosé.

After the success of the first vintage, quantity of future vintages will expand in line with the growing scale of production at Hush Heath.
